While Dumont has given Harrison great leeway to run basketball operations, the governor has final decision on all personnel matters."

After the Dallas Mavericks won Monday's draft lottery, the team was expected to add Flagg at No. 1.

Flagg was the No. 1 overall recruit in 2024 and has been viewed as a can't-miss draft prospect since before stepping foot on campus in Durham.
