Kansas State basketball took the lead for good late in the first half and held off a late Arizona State charge to advance in the Big 12 Tournament.

With the win, No. 10 seed K-State (16-16) advances to the second round of the Big 12 Tournament, where it will play No. 7 seed Baylor at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. No. 15 seed Arizona State (13-19) is one and done.

In the penultimate game at the opening day of the Big 12 tournament, the No. 10-seeded Wildcats draw the No. 15-seeded Sun Devils.
