ATLANTA — Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is currently under a ground stop, meaning planes cannot fly in our out of the airport. According to flight tracker Flight Aware, more than 1,000 flights at the Atlanta airport have been canceled on Friday. Another 500 flights have been delayed.

Thousands of people are without power as a winter storm moves through metro Atlanta and north Georgia. Statewide, more than 90,000 people are without power in Georgia. In the perimeter, at least 37,000 people are without power,

State officials held a press briefing Friday morning at the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) State Operations Center to update the public on their response to the winter storm impacting Georgia.
