Tropical Storm Dexter, the fourth named system of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season, formed late Sunday night well east of North Carolina. The system is now moving away from the U.S. East Coast, posing no land threat, but it signals a shift toward more frequent tropical development in the Atlantic.

Tropical Storm Dexter emerged between the Eastern Seaboard and Bermuda, as two more Atlantic low pressure systems are being tracked for development.
