Tanvir Islam’s maiden five-wicket haul and Parvez Hossain Emon’s maiden half-century has helped Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by 16 runs in the second one-day international

Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by 16 runs at the R. Premadasa Stadium to level their ODI series at 1-1. Parvez Hossain Emon (67) and Tanvir Islam (5-39) helped get Bangladesh over the line despite a late fightback from Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat. Sri Lanka will look to seal the three-match series when it takes on Bangladesh in the second One-Day International at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday.
