The Florida Panthers blew a 3-0 lead against the Edmonton Oilers in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final, becoming the first team in NHL history to do so in a Final game. Oilers backup goalie Calvin Pickard entered the game in relief and stopped 22 of 23 shots, earning praise for his timely saves.

Pickard provided a much-needed spark for Edmonton, which trailed 3-0 entering the second period. He prevented the Panthers from extending their lead by making 10 saves in the second, during which the Oilers scored three times to tie the game.
