The Wisconsin judge who was arrested by the FBI on Friday and accused of interfering in the arrest of an undocumented immigrant has a decadeslong history of advocating for the poor and vulnerable.

Specifically, the complaint says Dugan assisted Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, a Mexican immigrant, avoid being arrested by federal immigration officials at the Milwaukee County Courthouse after he appeared in her courtroom for a pre-trial conference on April 18.

Patel's post accused Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan of helping a man evade arrest by federal immigration authorities.
