Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin was announced as one of four finalists for the Heisman Trophy on Dec. 8. Sayin will join Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza and Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia at a ceremony in New York on Dec. 13.

Two years ago Indiana University was 3-9 and had more losses than any college football program in history. At the time, Fernando Mendoza V was struggling his way through his first year as a starter at Cal.

Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza was selected as the 91st recipient of the Heisman Trophy. Mendoza received the award over Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia, Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love and Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin.
