Thousands of anti-Trump protests are taking place across the United States today, deemed "No Kings" day in response to the administration’s policies.

The No Kings events come after days of protests following raids by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Los Angeles, and Trump’s subsequent deployment of thousands of National Guard and U.S. Marines troops to “temporarily protect” ICE and other federal personnel, along with federal property.

Nationwide protests against President Donald Trump coincided with his 79th birthday and a major military parade in Washington, D.C.

Thousands of anti-Trump protests are erupting across the United States this weekend under the banner of “No Kings” day.

"We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events..."

At the rally in downtown Wilmington, the crowd started to gather well before the advertised start time of noon. By 11:30 a.m., hundreds were already in attendance with many carrying signs with slogans such as "Resistance is patriotic," Stop illegal deportations," "Power to the people," and "Trump Lies."

Columbus' massive Pride celebration takes place June 14. Meanwhile, No Kings rallies are planned across the region, state and nation.
