Jeff Bezos' mother Jackie Bezos died Aug. 14 at age 78 following a battle with dementia, weeks after the Amazon founder and his wife Lauren Sánchez Bezos got married in Venice, Italy.

Jackie Bezos, the mother of Jeff Bezos, has passed away at 78. The Bezos Family Foundation, which she co-founded alongside her son, confirmed the news in a statement on Thursday. Bezos shared a tribute to his mother on social media and revealed she was suffering from Lewy body dementia,

The Amazon founder and his wife are demanding R3,3 million in legal costs from Lauren’s estranged brother, Michael Sanchez, following years of bitter court battles which have torn the family apart.
