Taxed by demands on the city's water system, two 200-foot water towers built by the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board to pressurize the city's drinking water failed to adequately do so on Sunday, leading to a one-day boil-water advisory for the entire east bank of the city.

Some New Orleans' east bank residents remain under a boil water advisory Monday evening. Most can go back to using their tap water.
