The trends on Gift Nifty also indicate a muted start for the Indian benchmark index. The Gift Nifty was trading around 22,595.00 level, a discount of nearly 17 points from the Nifty futures’ previous close.

Sensex Nifty Today | Stock Market Highlights: Indian equity indices opened Tuesday’s trading session on a flat note taking note of Asian markets. The NSE Nifty 50 opened 15 points, or 0.07%, higher at 22,569, while the BSE Sensex rose 93 points, or 0.12%, to open at 74,547.

On February 25, the Sensex rose by 0.20% to 74,602.12, breaking a five-day losing streak, while the Nifty 50 fell 0.03% to 22,547.55. Broader indices underperformed, and several stocks hit 52-week highs and lows amid mixed sectoral performances.

The Sensex closed marginally higher on Tuesday, while the Nifty ended flat, as gains in heavyweight financial and auto stocks offset losses in metals, with lingering global uncertainty over US tariffs keeping a cap on gains.
