Attorney General Pam Bondi was caught off guard answering questions during a press conference about the return of a Maryland dad to the U.S. after he was wrongfully deported to El Salvador. The Trump administration found itself mired in scandal earlier this year after the White House was forced to admit it had deported then-29-year-old Kilmar Abrego Garcia to his home country as the result of a clerical error.

Attorney General Pam Bondi will hold a press conference at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. She’s expected to discuss reports concerning El Salvador releasing Kilmar Abrego-Garcia to the United States in order for him to face federal charges.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the mistankely deported Salvadoran native, returned to the United States where he will face criminal charges, according to ABC News. Sources say he will face charges for allegedly transporting undocumented migrants within the U.
