The future of EV giant Tesla remains uncertain as the company's value plunges and protests against Elon Musk's role in the Trump government continue across the country and even abroad

It hasn’t been a good week for Tesla stock (TSLA) — or a good month, for that matter. The electric vehicle (EV) producer has been mostly trending downward for weeks, occasionally garnering some slight momentum but never enough for it to stay in the green for long.

Elon Musk is practically synonymous with Tesla — and that's become a problem for at least one major investor. It's gotten so bad that one of Tesla's earliest investors has called for Musk to step down.
