A new wildfire was reported today at 5:18 p.m. in San Diego County. The wildfire has been burning on private land. At this time, there is no data on the containment status of the fire and the cause has yet to be determined.

More than three dozen dogs and a kitten displaced by the devastating Eaton Fire in Los Angeles County have been transported to the San Diego area, where they all will be put up for adoption, animal-welfare officials announced Thursday.

The Sacramento SPCA recently returned from Southern California with 34 displaced animals from Pasadena Humane, who were affected by the Eaton Fire.

A new prescribed burn, called /viejas, was initiated today at 4:46 p.m. in San Diego County. The prescribed fire has been burning on federal land managed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Currently, there are no details as to how much land has been burned or the size of the crew executing the prescribed fire.
