Bangladesh has officially banned all activities of the Awami League party under a revised anti-terrorism law, as announced in a gazette notification. This action, taken by the interim government, prohibits the party's operations until the International Crimes Tribunal completes the trial of its leaders and activists.

The party said it rejected the Muhammad Yunus government’s decision, adding that it would continue its activities.
