Netflix‘s latest mini-series, Untamed, starring the veteran Eric Bana, puts quite an emphasis on its location. Set in the Yosemite National Park, the series follows a murder mystery that keeps things fresh and interesting until the very end.

Where have you seen them before? Starred as Australian's most infamous criminal in Chopper, which was a breakout role. Since then has featured in Black Hawk Down, Troy and played the Incredible Hulk in a pre-MCU version of the superhero. Also starred in adaptation of The Dry and his previous television role was Dirty John.

Our Call: STREAM IT. The setting and unique law enforcement politics, along with solid performances by Bana, Neill, DeWitt and Santiago, make Untamed the kind of show you might turn on as a distraction instead of a show that requires close watching. But it’s an entertaining distraction, with just enough story to keep things moving.

There’s an additional win in Untamed’s approach, too. If I’m being honest, the mysterious murder at its core is the least interesting thing about what’s happening on screen. In the opening scenes alone, one of my childhood dreams has been brought perfectly to life, and now I can relive the magic anytime I want to… and so can you.
