Waymo is routing its fleet of autonomous vehicles away from a large swath of San Francisco’s downtown and main transit corridor on Monday as the city prepares for more protests related to raids by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Autonomous vehicle firm Waymo said it has curtailed its robotaxi service in San Francisco following immigration enforcement protests in the city's Financial District Sunday evening, which led to one of its vehicles being vandalized.

California has been coping with civil unrest, as swarms of protesters have taken to the streets following a series of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids targeting workplaces in Los Angeles County.
