Lou Brock set a World Series record with three stolen bases in Game 7 of the 1967 series with the Red Sox. His feat stands alone in the record book and had a hand in St. Louis coming out on top to raise the trophy. The largest margin of victory in a World Series Game 7 is 11 runs.

1. 1975: Reds over Red Sox The perfect World Series, complete with five one-run games and the most famous extra-inning game in World Series history, Game 6, which ended with Carlton Fisk's down-the-line blast. Game 7 is one of the more underrated games in World Series history.

A familiar face to Game 7 this year was on the mound for the Nationals at Minute Maid Park. Max Scherzer started for Washington and pitched five innings. Washington got three runs in the seventh, and tacked on an insurance run in the eighth and two in the ninth.

Six years after his legendary 2019 Game 7 start, Max Scherzer took the mound again in 2025, proving that even at 41, Mad Max still has it.

And just like that, the two sweetest words in the English language: Game 7. I shouldn’t need to say much more than that to hype you up. Will the Dodgers win their second title in a row? Or will the Blue Jays win their first in 32 years?
