Memphis has suspended Ja Morant for its game against the Toronto Raptors, citing conduct detrimental to the team.
As such, Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report offered key potential transactions for the Grizzlies around Morant, in which he noted the Phoenix Suns as a considerable trade partner who could send Jalen Green and a 2027 first-round pick.
According to ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania, Morant has been suspended one game for conduct detrimental to the team. He added the suspension is a result of the comments which challenged Grizzlies coach Tuomas Iisalo following the Friday night loss where Morant responded in a “tone deemed inappropriate,” Charania said, citing sources.
Morant has been mentioned in a group of young players who have the superstar ability to take over when LeBron James and Steph Curry retire.
