The last of the Marine Corps’ venerable AV-8B Harrier II fighter jets will be retired in June, to be replaced by the F-35B.

The “Harrier Sundown Celebration” will be hosted by the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point from June 1-4.

The Harrier Sundown celebration will take place in the beginning of June with festivities to commemorate the aircraft before its end of service life.
