An Ohio man who forgot his $50 winning lottery ticket at home decided to buy another of the same Best of 7's scratch-off game and scored a $500,000 prize.

CHARDON, Ohio (WKRC) - An Ohio woman said she plans on spoiling her cats after winning thousands of dollars. According to a press release from the Ohio Lottery, an woman from Chardon, Ohio, followed her intuition and purchased a $300,000,000 Extreme Cash scratch-off ticket on Oct. 22, winning $50,000.

A southern Ohio man scratched off the top prize on an Ohio Lottery ticket to win $80,000 per year for the next 25 years. That’s $2 million. But according to a media release, he won’t take home even half that amount of cash.

According to a media release, the Roseville man told lottery officials that since he had just won on a Best of 7’s ticket, he figured that he would play the same game again. After he scratched the ticket off in his car, the lottery said he “ almost got sick ” and was in “ complete disbelief .”
