Organizers Say More Than 100,000 Expected for DC’s No Kings Protest Saturday
The original No Kings day, in June, drew an estimated 4 to 6 million protesters nationwide, according to researchers. Organizers say that mounting frustrations with the Trump administration, including the government shutdown, may contribute to more people participating this time.
DC Police has yet to disclose the official list of road closures and parking restrictions around the national mall for the event that is expected to run from noon to 2 p.m. However, signs in the area warned drivers that there would be no parking starting on Saturday from 2 a.m. to 5 p.m.
House Speaker Mike Johnson has claimed that an organization plans to host an anti-American rally in D.C. next weekend.
