Prince Andrew allegedly asked police to help him dig up dirt on Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of sexual abuse, in 2011, according to a report from a British tabloid.

The Metropolitan Police is looking into reports that Prince Andrew asked an officer to help with an attempted smear campaigner against the woman who accused him of sexual assault.

Ms Giuffre, who took her own life earlier this year, said she was among the girls and young women sexually exploited by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his wealthy circle.
