The World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers have turned into a .500 team recently, but a trade with the Red Sox could solidify one big aspect of their game.

The Cincinnati Reds added some pitching depth on Saturday. They announced a trade with the Boston Red Sox to acquire right-handed pitcher Brian Van Belle. Cash considerations go back to Boston in the deal.

The Boston Red Sox had high hopes for the 2025 season after adding Garrett Crochet and Alex Bregman over the winter. However, injuries and poor play have derailed those hopes.
