The Death Stranding movie, an adaptation of Hideo Kojima’s supernatural UPS delivery guy walking simulator, has its director. A24 has announced that Michael Sarnoski will both direct and write the project.

On Monday, A24 announced a big update for the next major adaptation, Death Stranding, in collaboration with Hideo Kojima’s Kojima Productions. Per Deadline, Director Michael Sarnoski has been tapped to write and direct the adaptation after teaming with A24 on his upcoming feature The Death Of Robin Hood.

Sarnoski previously directed “A Quiet Place: Day One” and the upcoming A24 feature “Death of Robin Hood” starring Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer. Sarnoski told IndieWire in 2024 when asked if he would direct another “Quiet Place” that he was planning on making an original film next.
