Muslims around the world are bidding farewell to the Islamic holy month of Ramadan and will soon start celebrating the holiday of Eid al-Fitr.

Eid al-Fitr 2025 is expected to be celebrated onSunday, March 30, or Monday, March 31, depending on when the new crescent moon is sighted, according to UK-based Islamic charity organization, Islamic Relief. The festival is celebrated over the first three days of Shawwāl, the 10th month of the Islamic calendar.

Some 2 billion Muslims around the globe gathered with loved ones to celebrate the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.
