Longtime Memphis television broadcaster Richard Ransom is leaving ABC24 to join Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare on March 24, the hospital system announced Thursday. Ransom spent almost a decade at ABC24 but has been in the Memphis media landscape for 20 years.

Richard Ransom, formerly of TV station ABC24, will serve as Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare's director of strategic communications beginning March 24.

He will sign off for the last time at ABC24 on March 19, capping a career in broadcast journalism here that started in 1994.
