The Miami Dolphins will place starting cornerback Kader Kohou on injured reserve after an MRI revealed a torn ACL suffered in a training camp practice over the weekend, head coach Mike McDaniel announced on Wednesday.

Kader Kohou out for year: McDaniel said CB Kader Kohou, who went down with a leg injury over the weekend, has a knee injury that will land him on injured reserve. He's out for the season. "Kader and I go back," McDaniel said. "I've seen him come into the league with nothing promised and earn what he has in this league."

MIAMI GARDENS -- Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel met with reporters to offer an update on Bayron Matos, Artie Burns and touch on a variety of other subjects. Matos is the team's international player who was injured at the end of the first practice of training camp and airlifted to a hospital with upper-body injury.
