Bad news struck the Houston Texans Saturday as running back Joe Mixon has suffered a foot injury that will keep him out for an "extended period of time," per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

T hings have gone from bad to worse for Texans running back Joe Mixon, who opened training camp on the active/non-football injury list. According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport on Saturday, Mixon "is expected to be out an extended period of time with a frustrating foot injury."

But as with any football injury update, one man's pain is another man's gain. And in this case, the Houston Texans have an intriguing backup for Mixon: Nick Chubb.
