Manager Rob Thomson later provided an update, revealing that Castellanos is participating in pre-game running drills as a final test before resuming game action. Through 102 games this season, Castellanos has remained a steady contributor in the everyday lineup, hitting .270 with a .745 OPS, 13 homers and 56 RBIs.
The Yankees salvaged a series and avoided a sweep on Sunday, as they defeated the Phillies, 4-3, in the Bronx.
