U.S. President Donald Trump filed a lawsuit on Friday against Dow Jones, News Corp, Rupert Murdoch and two Wall Street Journal reporters, raising claims under federal libel law, court records show. A copy of the complaint was not immediately available.
Donald Trump has followed through on his threat to sue Rupert Murdoch and his media companies over the Wall Street Journal‘s report on a bawdy letter in his name that was included in an album given to Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th birthday in 2003.
The two are constrained by the thing that has kept them linked for a decade: their shared reliance on Fox News die-hards.
The network has sparingly covered the defamation lawsuit the president filed against its corporate sibling News Corp and the Wall Street Journal.
