Southern California faces another round of rain and mountain snow as a second storm moves in Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

California was walloped Monday by a powerful winter storm carrying treacherous thunderstorms, high winds and heavy snow in mountain areas. Millions of Los Angeles County residents faced flash flood warnings as rain pounded the region and people in some areas scarred by last year’s devastating wildfires were under an evacuation warning through Tuesday because of the potential for mud and debris flows.

The wolf, known as BEY03F, roamed more than 500 miles from Northern California, signaling that the species continues to rebound after being wiped out in the state in the 1920s.

Bernie Sanders, the progressive from Vermont, is creating urgency around the need to pass a proposed billionaire wealth tax in California. The 84-year-old kicked off a weeklong California tour to campaign for the proposed tax in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
