The 6-foot-4 guard/forward Bonner is back with the WNBA team that drafted her No. 5 in 2009. She spent 10 seasons in Phoenix and won two WNBA titles with the franchise. Then, after five seasons with the Connecticut Sun, Bonner signed as a free agent this year with Indiana but played just nine games with the Fever.

Six-time WNBA All-Star DeWanna Bonner was waived by the Indiana Fever on June 25 and played the first 10 of a 16-year career with the Phoenix Mercury.

The Mercury have confirmed that veteran forward DeWanna Bonner is returning to Phoenix, the franchise where she began her decorated WNBA career in 2009. Bonner re-joins the Mercury as a free agent following her departure from the Indiana Fever, for whom she played nine games.
