Puka Nacua will officially have a new jersey number after wearing 17 for the last two years with the Los Angeles Rams. This, of course, comes after the Rams brought in Davante Adams, who also wears No. 17.

The Los Angeles Rams announced on Tuesday that Nacua will wear No. 12 moving forward after wearing No. 17 during his first two NFL seasons. The Rams announced the change with a social media video and sold the shift with a quote from Nacua as something about "family" and "armor."

The number 12 holds special meaning to Puka Nacua and his family. He wore it in his little league years through his college career. It's his first memories of his siblings playing sports, whether it was watching his sister wear it while playing basketball or being the ball boy and watching his brother wear it while playing quarterback in football.
