Arizona Rep. Raúl Grijalva, a champion of environmental protection and longtime congressman, passes away at 77 due to cancer treatment complications.

The lawmaker represented southern Arizona for more than 20 years. His passing brings the Republicans’ majority in the House to 218-213.
