Alexander Isak is considering his options which could see him leave Newcastle as Liverpool circle for the Swedish star, who has been told that the Magpies are well within their rights to make him stay

Liverpool have devised a new £165million plan to sign Alexander Isak this summer. The Reds confirmed their interest in the Newcastle striker earlier this month, expressing a willingness to open talks over a deal for around £120m. Newcastle promptly told them that Isak is not for sale.

Luis Diaz, who has agreed a £65.4m switch to Bayern Munich, is the only significant outgoing. Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott could follow, but many have been left perplexed at how Liverpool have been able to spend at such a rate, while others are fearful of the league’s profit and sustainability rules.
