Defending U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau will not see the weekend at Oakmont, but several of his LIV Golf comrades will.
The U.S. Open field has officially been trimmed down. The second round of the tournament at Oakmont Country Club came to a close on Friday night and only three participants were under par. Sam Burns led all golfers at three under par while J.J. Spaun was second at two under and Victor Hovland rounded out the top three at one under par.
As it's a wide open leaderboard with Sam Burns leading the way on three under but just six shots covering the top 26 players in the field - and with big numbers lurking everywhere no lead is ever safe at Oakmont. So can Viktor Hovland (-1) continue his return to form or will two-time US Open champion Brooks Koepka come steaming out of the pack?
