An intense manhunt for the man accused of shooting two state lawmakers and their spouses ended Sunday night in Sibley County.
SIBLEY COUNTY, Minn. — The man accused of killing a lawmaker and her husband and wounding another lawmaker and his wife has been arrested. 57-year-old Vance Boelter has been arrested alive in a field near his home in Sibley County, where the search concentrated Sunday. Officials said no "use of force" was used in the arrest.
Minnesota State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, were shot a total of 17 times when a gunman opened fire at their home early Saturday.
SIBLEY COUNTY, Minn. (KTTC) – The potential belongings of suspect Vance Boelter, the man suspected of shooting and killing Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark were located in Sibley County Sunday morning, according to law enforcement.
A two-day manhunt ended Sunday night as police captured the suspect, Vance Boelter, in a field. No force was used.
"MN Shooter's suspects vehicle located near MN HWY 25 and 301 Ave. in Faxon TWP, Sibley County," says the alert.
A 43-hour manhunt has ended with the apprehension of Vance Boelter, who was brought into police custody in Sibley County Sunday night on state charges for the targeted shootings of
