Mitch Voit is the Michigan baseball program’s highest MLB draft pick since 2000. The second baseman was selected in the first round at No. 38 overall by the New York Mets on Sunday night, becoming the first Wolverines player selected in the first round since David Parish 25 years ago.

In 56 games as a junior this past season, Voit had a slash line of .346/.471/.668 with 14 home runs, 60 RBIs and 14 stolen bases.

With the No. 38 overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft, the New York Mets selected two-way player Mitch Voit from Michigan baseball.
