The Crimson Tide held off an upset-minded Tigers team to clinch a spot in the SEC Championship Game against Georgia

Insights from Alabama football's road Iron Bowl victory against the Auburn Tigers, and things you might not have noticed.

The No. 10 Alabama Crimson Tide, led by quarterback Ty Simpson, face the Auburn Tigers on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025 at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Ala.

Auburn football vs. Alabama will broadcast live on ABC in Week 14 of the 2025 college football season. Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will have the call from the booth at Jordan-Hare Stadium, with Holly Rowe reporting live on the sideline.

Alabama has a playoff resumé. The Crimson Tide has wins over three teams that were ranked in the committee's latest rankings and finished as the No. 1 seed in the toughest conference in college football. The SEC will get at least four teams in the CFP and possibly five depending on what happens next weekend.

Ty Simpson and Isaiah Horton connected three times for touchdowns, including on a fourth-down play in the waning minutes, and No. 10 Alabama escaped Auburn with a 27-20 victory in the rivalry known as the Iron Bowl on Saturday night.

One longtime fan, Derrick Garrison wants the new coach Alex Golesh to stick around for more than 3 years. “If you’re going to hire a coach you need to let them, be there for a while and you need to let them, try,” Garrison said.

No. 10 Alabama defeated Auburn 27-20 in the Iron Bowl to conclude the regular season. Alabama goes on to the SEC Championship and the Tigers fail to make a bowl with the result. Interim head coach DJ Durkin spent time with the media after the loss and talked about what went wrong for Auburn.
