CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) -- One man was hospitalized after a shooting near the University of Illinois Campus Saturday morning.

A 16-year-old has been injured in a shooting near a park while children were playing in Aurora on Thursday evening, according to police.

The Aurora Police Department continues investigating the shooting, asking locals with information to contact detectives.
