An 18-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of shooting and killing a 48-year-old woman while she was driving in Anaheim, police said Saturday.

A Cudahy man suspected of shooting and killing a woman in her car in Anaheim earlier in the week was arrested on Friday, according to authorities.

Orange County authorities Wednesday identified a woman who was shot and killed in Anaheim. The woman, who was found dead inside a car near Cypress and Vine streets, is 48-year-old Charlene Lynn Zuazo of Anaheim, the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner said.

The Anaheim Police Department arrested a 19-year-old for a deadly shooting in late February. Orange resident Lawrence Romero was booked into jail for murder after detectives tracked him down on March 4,

Just before 8 p.m., the Anaheim Police Department received a call for shots heard in the 700 block of North Vine Street, near La Palma Avenue and North East Street, in Anaheim. A separate 911 caller almost simultaneously reported a crash about half a mile away on the same street.

A woman was fatally shot in Anaheim and police Wednesday are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Anaheim police have arrested Jerry Gutierrez for the murder of Charlene Zuazo, who was shot dead inside her car in Anaheim on March 4.

An 18-year-old suspect was arrested after a woman was found shot to death in her vehicle in Anaheim. The suspect was identified as Jerry Gutierrez, 18, of Cudahy, according to the Anaheim Police Department.
