Depending on weather and clouds, rocket launches from Kennedy Space Center or Cape Canaveral can be seen from Daytona Beach to Melbourne to Vero Beach

With the payload being in the Group 12 Starlink satellites, the rocket will travel on a southeast trajectory. Those south of Cape Canaveral should get an afternoon show, as the Falcon 9 rocket rumbles by. The Space Force's 45th Weather Squadron has predicted a 95% chance of favorable conditions for this launch window.

Update: SpaceX is now targeting Saturday, Feb. 8 for the launch of Starlink 12-9. Another SpaceX Starlink launch was set for early Friday afternoon, but SpaceX has scrubbed early for unknown reasons.
