Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić admitted Serbia mistakenly supported a UN resolution that condemned Russia as the aggressor state in its invasion of Ukraine, blames exhaustion for the error.

The U.N. General Assembly adopted a resolution on Monday, backed by European nations, calling for a just and lasting peace in Ukraine. Russia and the United States voted against it, while Serbia was among 93 countries that supported it. Eighteen countries opposed the resolution and 65 abstained.

Serbia’s president has apologised for accidentally backing Ukraine at the United Nations – saying that the error occurred because he was tired.
