Now the survey team works hard to post the lines of the boundaries to give the foresters the knowledge of where those boundaries lie when they are out working on future forestry projects. The Yellow Creek Shooting Range --located near Lead, S.D.-- has been in existence since 1977 and has provided the public with a place to enjoy target shooting and hold hunter education and law enforcement firearms certifications. The BLM, along with the City of Deadwood have been working together to improve range safety and functionality. Some of the improvements will be relocating berms and rebuilding them to the proper heights, but prior to this taking place the lead bullets had to be removed
