At 9.00am on Tuesday 15th September 2020 a Memorial Service was held to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of Battle of Britain Day. It was greatly scaled down due to the Covid Pandemic but respecting the six person gathering rule we moved our Service of Rememberance to 9 o'clock and obviously before we opened to the public. Today, Saturday 18th January 2020 Julian Richardson, a Volunteer at the Kent Battle of Britain Museum Trust at Hawkinge started to paint our recently acquired CASA 2.1111B / Heinkel He 111H-16. So here is a short video of the unveiling of the 'Spirit of The Few' Monument at the Kent Battle of Britain Museum Trust at Hawkinge. This was unveiled at 12.20pm on Friday 29th July 2022, the 82nd Anniversary of when the original and iconic photograph had been taken at RAF Hawkinge and of seven officers of No. 32 Squadron relaxing on the grass between sorties.
