This week, Cape Breton Island ambassadors Tammy and Chris (Cape Breton Hiker) spent a perfect winter afternoon hiking the Salmon Pools Trail in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. They took a break at the log cabin along the trail, where they enjoyed homemade chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate, all while taking in the peaceful surroundings of snow-covered mountains and the serene flow of the Cheticamp River.
