VIETNAM: DOG MEAT DOGS FOR RANSOM Everyday dogs are chained up in the hot sun for ransom. Even in monsoon rains; they're chained up in the elements. Many are stolen pets with huge ransom prices on them, knowing they'll be sold to butchers if not ransomed. Many owners cannot afford to pay a ransom which is more than one month's salary for them! Fight Dog Meat ransomed our brown poodle Scooter from here, right before he was to be slaughtered for dog meat. He'd been chained in the hot sun for days.
