I honestly don’t get why people are so outraged about a flag being taken down at Stonewall. It’s like folks are acting as if removing a symbol somehow erases an entire community. We live in the United States — the American flag is the one flag that represents all of us as a nation. And speaking as a gay man, my identity isn’t tied to a flag or a banner. A flag doesn’t make me any more or less who I am. At the end of the day, I’m still gay regardless of what’s hanging on a pole 😂 #gaypride #ston
